Five young actors and a young director in a house in the Swedish countryside rehearse the play Anatomy Titus Fall of Rome - a Shakespeare commentary by Heiner Müller. They are being followed by two cameras documenting their rehearsals and conversations. The boundaries between the protagonists and their roles become blurred; art and violence, film and theater transform into a strange mishmash into which the fiction of the play keeps breaking in.
